Knit, Swirl Jacket

Enhance your wardrobe with a beautiful Swirl Jacket from Sandra McIver’s wonderful book. This pattern is a fun to wear as it is to knit. In this all-day workshop, you will practice techniques to make your jacket handmade rather than homemade. Students should know: knit, purl, work in the round on a circular needle, at least some experience with increasing and decreasing

Students will learn: pseudo short-row, mirrored decreases, twisted yarn over increases, casting on extra stitches to a row, slipped-stitch edging, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off, TECHknitter’s method for sturdy mid-row bind-off.

Class participants will receive the pattern to make the Teddy Bear Swirl out of one skein of Classic Elite Liberty Wool.

Class meets 10:15 AM - 4 :00 PM with a 45 minute lunch break.
