It's officially summer break here! Take a little break from the swimming pool and indoor [aka electronic] entertainment and make something. Kids ages 8+ are invited to join one of our six Kids Camps this summer! All classes our taught by our resident dye expert Kelly. When Kelly isn't playing with color in our dye kitchen, she works full time as a school counselor.

Kids Dye I: Learn to dye your very own, custom-designed yarn! You'll be dyeing yarn using a rainbow of colors. Kelly will teach you two dye techniques: immersion and squirt dyeing. A fun dyeing experience for kids! No experience necessary. $30, June 12th 3-5 PM, or July 17th 2-4 PM

Kids Dye II: Ready to do more dyeing? Learn to dye your own yarn using professional [yet safe] acid dyes. You'll work with over-dyeing and patterning techniques. We'll keep it safe by pre-mixing all the dyes to avoid contact with the loose powders. Come play with color! $30, June 25th, 3-5 PM

Kids Knit I: Ready to learn how to knit? You'll learn the basics of knitting: casting on, the knit stitch, purling, and binding off- everything you need to know to start your first project! $30, June 14th 3-5 PM, or July 19th 2-4 PM

Kids Knit II: Let's learn some more knitting techniques! Now that you can cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, we will move on to increasing, decreasing, 2x2 ribbing, and knitting in the round on double pointed needles. These are all skills you can use to knit hats or bags. $30, June 27th 3-5 PM
